Day 1: Homeport to Omapere (Sunday 16th August)
After a home pick up by shuttle, we join our flight to Auckland. Once there we board our coach, travelling north to Omapère via the Kauri Museum, Dargaville and the Waipoua Kauri Forest.

Day 2: Hokianga (Monday 17th August)
Today we explore Opononi and surrounding areas including the lookout from the head of the harbour. You will have plenty of time to read a book or try one of the numerous walks around the harbour.

Day 3: Hokianga (Tuesday 18th August)
This morning, we are taking the ferry from Rawene to Kohukohu. We will visit this historic town, before travelling around the small townships on the northern side of the harbour. We then retrace our steps to Omapère.

Day 4: Hokianga to Pahia (Wednesday 19th August)
After another great breakfast we bid farewell to Hokianga and travel via Kaikohe down to Paihia. Once there we will visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. We then travel to our hotel, located on the waterfront at Pahia, Bay of Islands. You are free to dine at your leisure in Paihia this evening.

Day 5: Cape Reinga (Thursday 20th August)
Today we have a day trip to Cape Reinga. Our coach will take you north to Kauri Kingdom where we will meet our local bus. This will take us to Cape Reinga and Tapotupotu Bay for a picnic lunch. We will stop at the famous Monganui fish shop on the way home.

Day 6: Paihia – Bay of Islands (Friday 21st August)
Today is a free day to explore Paihia. You may choose to join the boat trip to the Hole in the Rock or take a short boat ride to Russell. The guided tour of Russell is excellent.

Day 7: Paihia – Bay of Islands (Saturday 22nd August)
Today we travel to Kerikeri to visit the stone store. You will then have some time to explore Kerikeri and get lunch. After lunch we travel to Kawakawa where we take a ride on the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway before returning for dinner

Day 8: Paihia to Auckland and home (Sunday 23rd August)
Today we travel south via Whangarei to Auckland to meet our flight home. On arrival home shuttles will transfer you to your door.
